The M1A1 Abrams was adopted by US forces in August 1984 and although originally equipped with a rifled 105mm gun, a later upgrade to a 120mm smoothbore gun greatly improved its offensive capabilities. Thanks to its precise fire control system and 1,500 hp gas turbine engine, the M1A1 proved more than a match for enemy T-72 tanks when deployed in the Gulf War in 1991. It has remained in service over the years with timely upgrades, and in January 2023 it was announced that the US would send approximately thirty M1A1s to Ukraine.

About the model
This is a 1/35 scale plastic model kit. Length: 300mm, width: 105mm. The M1A1 shape is rendered in style, with images of the flat armor surfaces and the 120mm smoothbore gun. Engine room grilles and armor weld lines add even more detail to the model. Features belt-like images of tracks. Nylon mesh is included for reusing the turret cover. Markings for tanks delivered to Ukraine are included.
